The Traditional Cigarette
vs. the Electronic Cigarette

Smoke from a traditional cigarette emits over 4,000 chemicals
when lit, including 43 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds and 400
other toxins.
A few of the ingredients that goes into the making of a regular
cigarettes:
Acetone - ingredient in nail polish remover
Methanol - used as rocket fuel
Naphthylamine - a carcinogen
Pyrene - a carcinogen
Naphthalene - moth repellent
Cadmium - used in batteries, a carcinogen
Carbon monoxide - poisonous gas
Vinyl Chloride - used in plastic materials
Cyanhydric acid - poisonous gas
Ammonia - industrial cleaner and detergent
Arsenic - lethal poison
Dibenzacridine - a carcinogen
Polonium 210 - a radioactive element
DDT - insecticide
Formaldehyde - embalming fluid
Electronic Cigarette
-
The electronic cigarette (or e-cig) is a device consisting of a battery
and a heating element. When activated, the heating element boils a small amount
of liquid in the device, creating a vapor, which is then inhaled by the user.
The liquid and vapor contain four main ingredients:
Nicotine
Propylene glycol
Vegetable glycerine
Flavoring
Frequently Asked Questions -
Q: How does the ProVape compare to the smaller
pen-style e-cig that I currently use?
A: The ProVape is a slightly larger electronic
cigarette due to the bigger battery it holds. There are many advantages to using
a device with a larger battery.
Compared to the pen-style e-cigs the ProVape averages 7-10 hours of heavy use
on a single rechargeable battery. Since the ProVape has more power, you will
find the difference to be night and day over the smaller devices. More power
equals more vapor and longer hours. Many of our customers have expressed their
frustrations with small pen-style e-cig batteries. The major complaint is that
the batteries only last about 4 weeks before they no longer hold a charge or
rapidly decrease in performance and need to be replaced. With the added problem
of only being able to charge one pen-style battery per charger and the time
it takes to constantly re-charge, it can quickly become a daily chore. We invite
you to try the ProVape and see how it will greatly improve your vaping experience!
Q: Are electronic switches better than mechanical
switches?
A: Yes. Properly designed electronic switches
can last much longer than a mechanical switch. Modern electronics are built
for long life and high reliability. An electronic switch can't get corrosion
or scorching on its contacts like mechanical switches often do. Finally, electronic
switches offer additional safety features that are unavailable with mechanical
switches.
Q: What makes the electronic switch
in the ProVape-1 so special?
A: The electronic switch circuit in the ProVape-1
was created using military design rules. This is the same process used in the
creation of equipment for our nations space exploration and defense forces.
These are tough and reliable systems; much more so than simple mechanical switches.
Q: Can I recycle my ProVape rechargeable
batteries?
A: Yes! All of the batteries we offer can be
recycled. We encourage you to care for the environment by recycling your used
Li-ion batteries.
You can drop them off at any RadioShack store or visit this
