  • Automatic - A lower quality Chinese style electronic cigarette that does not have a button to activate the heating element. They are not sealed to allow airflow. When the user inhales on the mouthpiece, a sensor in the atomizer is activated by changing air pressure. The vaping battery automatically activates the heating element when taking a puff. No button is used to activate the heating element. Some automatic e-cigs are disposable. Common issues with automatics is the switch can get activated by sound, so they are known to turn on without the user knowing.

  • Battery - Known as the most significant element of an electronic cigarette. The battery provides power to heat the atomizer element to turn the liquid into vapor. Batteries come in different forms. For the pen style e-cigs, the battery is typically smaller in size but with much less run time. In devices like the ProVari, the larger battery has more power and longer run times making for a night and day experience over the smaller cigalike style convenience store models. Chinese brands typically have an LED light at the end that lights up.
